Mountain Fork River

Mountain Fork River is dammed to create the Broken Bow Lake. This warm water river has a lot of recreation to offer. The Upper Mountain Fork River winds through the Ouachita Mountains and is great for its floating and fishing smallmouth bass. The Lower Mountain Fork River, the tail water of Broken Bow Lake, is the most consistently flowing and best whitewater stream in Oklahoma. It is great for a canoe or kayaking adventure. Perfect for fly fishing, the river offers year round rainbow and trout fishing.

ATV Riding

ATV Rules – Rules prohibit 2 riders on a vehicle unless it is designed for 2. Most “straddle type” ATVs are designed for only 1 rider. ATVs with bench seats can have more than 1 rider. Riders under 16 years of age must wear a helmet. If you are riding on US Forest Service property there is no extra permit required. Three Rivers W.M.A. trails are not available year round and require a deer hunting license to ride. All ATV related regulations are subject to change.

Fishing in the Broken Bow Area

There are several outstanding opportunities for fishing just moments away from Hidden Hills Broken Bow Cabins. A tailwater fishery flowing out of Broken Bow Lake, the Lower Mountain Fork River has 14 miles of trout habitat. It offers year-round fishing for rainbow and brown trout. The 3.8 mile Trophy section where boats and barbed hooks are banned offers great fly fishing.
